Samsung UN39FH5000FXZA Won't Connect to MacBook Pro

by cbrands38 / August 28, 2014 5:54 AM PDT

I have been having trouble getting my Samsung TV to connect to my MacBook Pro. I've had this TV for about 3 months and it worked fine for the first 3 months and then last week just stopped detecting my MCP. When plugged in via HDMI my MacBook detects that the samsung TV is there but my TV says no signal. I can move my mouse and control the screen the TV should be displaying but cannot see it. The HDMI ports and cable work fine with other devices but not with the MCP.

Through monkeying around with restarting my computer and resetting my TV I got it to work for about 2 minutes but then it quit working again and I haven't gotten it to work since. Any suggestions?

Try it with another TV.
Call Samsung and have them walk you through settings on TV and Apple.
