Question

Samsung UE55C6705 firmeware problem

Apr 14, 2015 9:47AM PDT

Hi

I decided to try netflix on the TV,but the screen just goes black when I enter the netflix app.

So I decided to try to update the firmeware from 3011 that i got. The TV is connected through WiFi, so I tried first to upgrade online, but that just gave me a errorcode 606

Then I downloaded VERSJON : T-VALDEUC-3018.1
2013.08.13 from samsung.com and put it on a usb (yes, its unpacked),but that also gives me an error msg.

I then decied to reset the TV (holding down "Exit"), and then tried to upgrade, but still the same problem.

After the rest i noticed that the apps downloaded before, still are there, strange enough after resetting.

Any clues, anyone ?

Stig

Some Things You Could Try
Apr 17, 2015 6:07PM PDT

Hi Stig, im having the exact same problem+1 as you but im on Samsung Model UE37C6500, At least you can see your Netflix app i have to put my region to America to even see it lol.

Some things you could try, which didnt work for me,

Change your region to another country then change it back to force a redowload of the APP, not sure how you do this on your tv but google it, i goto my internet tv screen and press "forward" button then 389 "rewind" button.

Another thing you could try is changing your DNS setting to 8.8.8.8 i have seen this before in some posts under network settings.

And another post i have seen someone say press "Tools" button when hoevering over Netflix icon which allows you to delete / re-download the app again.

Sorry if none of these help!, but give them i go!.

Also in regards to the upgrade via USB make sure you extracted the file to the root of your drive, otherwise you will see that same error. I got the same issue 1st time around, good luck and let me know if you come up with any solution!.

Cheers
Sam
