samsung ue46b6000 led picture quality on virgin media

have recently purchased the ue46b6000 and the picture quality is very poor i had a samsung 42" plasma 1080i and the quality was much better it has an iss with lettering pixelation around it also when people move quickly there is a motion blur a bit like the heat vapours you would see in a very hot place i`ve had an virgin engineer out who has boosted the signal but the issue is still there any ideas for the best set up or does any one think its a fault with the tv

Your complaint reads much like others that are not on a HD feed.

Boosting the signal is not something we see with HD providers.

with regards to the hd side of it it`s spot on,its the standard channels that is the issue

SD content on HDTV is always hit and miss.
