Question

Samsung UE LED TV displays wrong sub track

by Lojiloji / August 23, 2013 12:57 AM PDT

When i play .mkv files with embedded subs, the tv displays a random track (french for example, which is file number 4) when I use a MKVtool to remove all the subs but the English one, it doesnt play the subs at all.
Is there anything I can do to change the subtrack its using? Or how to embed the English subs so it only displays those?

Thanks in advance

Clarification Request
Most of the models only support 1 track.

Time to check the manual for what is supported. In the beginning it was one track in an external sub file. Later one track in the MKV and I have yet to read where more than 1 is supported.

Not sure if more than 1 track is supported but it just picks a random track, if the .mkv file has 7 tracks it picks number 4, if I remove 6 of the 7 tracks it doesnt pick any and doesnt show subs.

This is not normal is it?

Yes, it's normal.

In reply to: random track

As to your comment about not sure, I defer to the product manual. Folk new to this area often tell about how it works on the PC. These are not PCs and you can't expect the same files to work on the TV. Not much new to cover here but back to the manual.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
