Question

SAMSUNG U28D590DS White line on the right side of my screen

Jan 5, 2015 6:17AM PST

I just bought a SAMSUNG U28D590DS and have put the resolution on 2560x1440 because my pc can't handle the 4k settings. When i watch video's on the internet while using a player like Youtube or Netflix. I get this thin white line on the right edge of my screen. It does not show this white line when i use a player thats on my pc like: Windows media player, VLC media player and KMplayer. I neither have the line when i put my resolution up to 4k (3840x2160). So when my screen is on 4k is never see the white line neither on Internet players. But on the lower resolution it does. I dont understand why it does this. Can you guys help me out. Hope the hear some good news.

Greetings,
Daserion

2560x1440 while listed in the manual has the suffix RB on it.

RB appears to be "Reduced Blank" and even I can't guess if your card supports that. I'd try 1080p next.

I found the reason now. I got the option (Text or items bigger or smaller) on 150% but when i put it on 100% or 125 % i do not get the white line. Maybe you guys have a solution for that?

All I read was that "RB" and you would have to ask the PC maker how to create that signal.
