Hi. We're experiencing the same problem. The ARC seems to do everything fine - turning on the v377 receiver, selecting inputs, etc. - except controlling the volume. When I use the volume button on the remote (we have a Vizio e70-c3) the volume bar shows up, but it doesn't increase or decrease. It use to work fine and then stopped working. I once was able to fix it by cycling the tv and receiver power, but that doesn't work anymore. Because we have different tvs, it seems it's a Yamaha v377 issue. What did you do to fix it? Thanks.
I'm facing a new issue with my setup:
- Yamaha RX-V377
- Samsung UE48H6400
I set up straight from the start the connection between my TV and my receiver and everything used to work perfectly.
When watching TV (internal signal receiver), thanks to Anynet, I was getting the sound down to my receiver and was able to also control the sound with the TV remote.
It would write + RX-V377 on the TV and the volume would go up on the receiver.
For some reason and for the last 2 weeks, after switching off the power for a week when going in holidays, while the sound still come through to the receiver, I am unable to control the volume anymore.
When pressing volume up on the TV remote, + RX-V377 still appear on the TV but the volume doesn't go up on the receiver anymore!!
I've been trying to re-setup everything from scratch, but without success...
I'm not sure if it came from a firmware upgrade on the TV, a misconfiguration or fault on the TV/Receiver side, but I'm starting to get mad trying to fix it as it used to work perfectly...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
