Question

Samsung TV Universal Remote

by joetrib / September 5, 2014 12:16 AM PDT

Hi,

I bought a UE48H6410 Samsung TV. I have my sky box connected via the scart socket and I have set up the universal remote and I can control the sky box with the samsung remote but the remote has no power on / off button for the sky box. However the Sky box is supposed to turn off and on when the TV is tuned off and on. The TV remote does power on the sky box but when I turn the TV off it doesn't power it down as it should do.

It would have been useful if the samsung tv remote or menu had a power button for the connected devices but it doesn't. However the SMART VIEW 2.0 app on the phone has a remote with a STB power button which I can use to power off the sky box.

But the sky box should really turn off when I turn off the TV with the samsung remote. Thanks for any help.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
