Samsung tv (UN32EH5300) low audio problem

My Samsung television UN32EH5300 has low audio. If I trouble shoot and diagnose the problem with the Att-Uverse tool then apply their fix, its seems to work for a while then the low audio
problem recurs. I have been told it most likely is a bad sound
board and/or power supply. A repair is not cost effective, and
I have been told to use a cheap sound board or speakers to
work around the problem or "deep six" my tv. What can or
should I do?
