Question

Samsung TV Picture Size

I have a new TV UE32D6530 which has been working perfectly. The picture is set to 16:9. I switched off last night and changed nothing but today when I switched on the picture has changed. I now get Black borders top and bottom of the screen and the images are too wide. Setting to 4:3 gives a true shape image.
This happens when using built in Freeview but not when using Freesat via a set top box. I would be grateful for your advice.

Sounds like the picture setting in the Freeview need changing to 16x9. they look like they are set to picture shape 4x3 instead. Go to the box settings and change,

Thanks for your suggestion.

I don't know what caused the problem but I disconnected the power supply (not just by switching off but by removing the plug completely) for 15 minutes. When I reconnected, evrything was fine.
