Samsung TV picture on/picture off sound is OK

by rblairhstn / March 7, 2013 7:31 AM PST

Model# LN40B550K1F

The picture is beautiful still.......just intermittent. Picture comes on for 1-2 sec, then goes blank for 1-2 sec. and repeats over and over again.

Troubleshooting ideas?

Model # LN40B550K1F model code XZA

Nope, not a TV repair guy. Just trying to help my daughter and son in-law with a problem. And BTW, I was mistaken. The sound that is constant is through a Sony surround sound, the TV's sound cuts in and out with the picture.

Thanks for the guidance!

Just a tip.

To make it easy for members, add the model number and don't break it up like that. If I was to look at this more I have to put it back together and that's an extra step. Try this. Put that complete model code on google and then see what pops up. Then add the phrase/word AVSFORUM to see there are folk that are discussing its repair.

If you just need repair services then you can arrange that at or the one in your country.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
