Question

Samsung TV having buffering problems for Youtube app

Hello, I am facing buffering problems on my Samsung Smart TV Model no UE40ES6710.

While viewing any film on Youtube after sometime suddenly the video stops while the audio moves on until a min or 2 and later audio stops and the video catches up to the point audio moved earlier.

This is a bit annoying as this happens every 10 - 15 mins during a play on youtube. This happens only on youtube while other apps like Netflix do not face this problem.

Not sure if its a youtube or Samsung tv problem

appreciate any help to resolve this

Samsung TV having buffering problems for YouTube App

I am a US Samsung customer with EXACTLY the same issue described by the original poster: Buffering problems on my Samsung Smart TV. My model number is UN55ES6500.

While viewing any film on Youtube after sometime suddenly the video stops while the audio moves on until a min or 2 and later audio stops and the video catches up to the point audio moved earlier. This happens ONLY when using the Samsung YouTube App. Other apps like Netflix do not exhibit this annoying behavior.

The TV is connected to the internet provider's modem and I have confirmed sustained download speeds of 20 to 25 Mbps.

Please help.

I have the same problem with my brand-new TV, I've called Samsung four times and went through all of their steps and it does not fix the YouTube app issue. It will play between one minute 50 seconds to a little over two minutes of any video and then freezes and eventually fails. When I turn the TV on it did all the new firmware updates, YouTube also works fine through the web browser on the TV and also does Netflix app but this YouTube app is junk why hasn't it been fixed?

Samsung YouTube App Issue

My Samsung Smart TV (model number is UN55ES6500) has version 1.079 of the YouTube app. The Samsung app store reports that I this is the latest version of the app and no other versions are available. I also have the current version of SmartHub installed.

As stated previously, while viewing videos on Youtube suddenly the video stops while the audio moves on until a min or 2 and later audio stops and the video catches up to the point audio moved earlier. This happens ONLY when using the Samsung YouTube App. Other apps like Netflix do not exhibit this annoying behavior.

The TV is connected to the internet provider's modem and I have confirmed sustained download speeds of 20 to 25 Mbps.

YouTube

I am not sure where to find the app version, also what is the deal with the HDMI ports on this TV it has to be perfectly in there and if you touch the cord the picture goes out. I tried multiple cords, same thing, and multiple ports same thing

Looks off topic.

knvs_praveen lead with the YouTube issue but about ports. Top post that and reveal model, age, which cables. I find those AmazonBasics to work very well.

More memory issues.

I am in Australia and I am having the same difficulty watching movie from SMH TV.

I have a series 6 200M

When I get the memory message it then goes back to the start of the movie. The movie will not fast forward so I have sat through the movie 3 times and I still haven't seen the ending!
It buffers all the way through as well.

Is it possible to add memory?

No to the add memory.

Resolution

I deleted as many apps as I could. Unfortunately the TV comes with apps which I don't want and no option to delete. They take up quite a lot of space.

I then discovered the SMH TV app. I'd done a search with no results but it seems it is case sensitive.

This gave me fast forward option and I was able finally to see the end of the movie. There was regular buffering but nothing stopped.

I was disappointed the movie had advertisement (the same one) which repeated regularly through the movie.

ME too.

I've seen that happen far too often. It's partly why I flip the Smart TV part to off and use other sources. It's now a "TV" and a good one at that.

Answer
unplug

not exactly responding to your problem. but my youtube app was not really buffering or crashing. it would just freeze for about 2-3 seconds every other minute or so and always played as normal after freeze. it was just like it was paused for a second. I did not do any updates or changes to anything. the only thing I did was unplug my tv for about 15 minutes. working perfectly now. this is my tv - Samsung 46" 1080p 60Hz LED Smart HDTV, UN46H5203AFXZA. hope this helps someone.
