Question

Samsung TV firmware updates

Dec 20, 2014 7:36PM PST

Dear All,
I have two samsung tv's at home and would like to upgrade them if possible.
I have searched the net for any kind of update software/firmware and instructions but haven't found a thing..
Can someone please tell me if it is possible or not to update them? Cheers

Hi there,
Thanks for your prompt answer.
The idea would be to get some kind of smart tv features on the first one (since it is a very nice full hd screen), while for the second one the idea would be to make it accept subtitles while reading mkv video files.
Cheers

If anything, Samsung removes features that were not in the product manual with firmware updates. The guess was they needed code space for whatever fix they were making. This has been discussed a lot so I'll stop here.

I think you should look at the WDTV as it's more a player than what I noted. CNET writes that at:
