Question

Samsung TV

Mar 17, 2017 11:09AM PDT

I have a Samsung DLP TV Model HLS6187WX/XAA that recently failed and indicated that the lamp needed replaced. I have replaced the lamp twice in the past with success but this time replacing the lamp had no effect. Is there a way to test the lamp to see if it is defective (I got it off E-Bay)?

So far no.

That is, the best test is to swap the lamp with a working set. Since the lamp is a mercury lamp the test involves more than an Ohm meter.

then you next replace the inverter that powers it.
