Samsung Television Display Panel Model Identification Issue

Apr 4, 2016 9:14AM PDT

Hi ,

I had purchased earlier samsung TV model number UA40J5300. Due to some accident my LED display screen got damaged and technician replaced the display panel. Damaged panel model is CY-GJ040BGSV1V and new panel model is CY-GJ040BGLV1V. There is difference in the model number. When I asked this question to the technician he told that it is same? But I am surprised because model number or versioning or labeling is done cause there are upgrade/change in the product. How come two different model number can be same. This is surprising company like Samsung doing this. Does anyone have had similar experience in past or have more knowledge in this area? Please shed some light.
I did some Google and found out that the service description for both the panel model is also different.

Replaced Display panel model number CY-GJ040BGLV1V with service description BN95-02022A.

Old damaged panel model number CY-GJ040BGSV1V with service description number BN95-02023A.

I have called multiple times and spoken to samsung reprensetative but seems that nobody cares.
Just asking for simple math and logic. How come below is TRUE

Service Description BN95-02022A == Service Description BN95-02023A ?
OR
Model Number CY-GJ040BGLV1V == Model Number CY-GJ040BGSV1V ?

Can somebody help me to get my problem rectified or point me to some direction?

Below are reference URL which I used to find out information about my Display panel.

For this I'd call a few places. Links follow.

1. Shopjimmy.com has been known to answer such tech questions.
2. Samsung.com usually answers with "We can arrange repair for you" and the repair tech figures it out.

Option 2 ruled , 1st Getting error

Option 2 ruled out in my case as Samsung itself has created the pain for me to ask this question on forum.
Option 1 Getting error on website
