samsung tablet original 7.0

Feb 26, 2014 8:33AM PST

I purchased a used samsung 7.0 original tablet android 2.2 wifi/3g t-mobile. I activated it but the network settings for the APN/Mobile networks remained greyed out. It does not connect to the network, t-mobile says it is a Samsung problem/Samsung says it is a t-mobile problem. I have reset the unit many times and theres is no change. The sim is good and the unit is not listed as stolen with t-mobile. Why does it remain greyed out? Can you help me diagnose the problem?

But check your warranty and then head to where the warranty is. If you are on T-mobile and they can't fix, have them suspend/credit you till it works. Don't accept it's not yours to fix.

The story is incomplete here. FOLLOW THE MONEY. WHO are you paying for this tablet?

When you say the SIM is good what do you mean? How did you verify this?
I would move the SIM to another device and verify that it works OK. (try it in a phone, too?)

If the sim does not work in another device, then it may not be a Tablet problem.
If the sim works in another tablet, then you can be sure you need to continue pursuing the tablet as the culprit.
