Question

Samsung Tablet 8.9 - No Kernel

Jan 19, 2015 3:18AM PST

Samsung Tablet CE0168, Model GT-P7310MA

A few days ago, my tablet froze up during the start up. I tried to restart but got go nothing but a black screen. While plugged in, a download screen starts up saying download in progress and in the small print, it says "No Kernel". Also, in the small print, it says press "Start" for Odin3. I don't know what to press. The power button does nothing. Then after about a minute, the screen goes black again.

Answer
Odd thing. Odin3?

That doesn't sound right. That is, I never say Samsung use Odin3. I'd ask whoever sold this to fix or swap it back for a stock unit.

When I look up Odin3 I see talk or custom roms and such. Nothing that Samsung can deal with except to put it back to stock. And my bet is they'll have you send it in.

I see you don't like my answer and well, I don't like my typo there either.

Try the forums that hack Android like XDA Developers.
