Question

Samsung tab 2 10.1 help

Jan 19, 2013 4:02AM PST

Hi i have just recently purchased the above tablet and am new to tablets. I obviously did not do enough research beforehand but here goes. The main reason i got the tablet was to run an app called photo finish salon, for my business this app runs on my Samsung Google nexus phone so i just assumed it would work on this tablet, but no, it also runs on ipads but i have been loyal to android. Also my banking apps don't work and it is not compatible with adobe flash player which really surprised me as i was going to use it to watch some internet tv such as view and sbs on demand and i have heard that the ipads are not compatible which is another reason i chose to stick with android. So my questions are, are such problems hardware related or software related? If software is it related to the operating software if yes do i need to wait for a firmware update? Or is it the developers software and i need to wait for their updates?. Is there any other apps i should be looking at to run flash player. Thanking you in advance.

Answer
Did you try to install flash anyway?
Jan 19, 2013 4:39AM PST

I had to allow it in some panel then research how to install another browser and finally Flash worked in the browser.

Sorry but I can't write a step by step as I don't have this tab. I do have many models at the office such nexux and others and all had me jumping through the hoops.

Feels like the new Windows at times.

Hi Bob thank you for your reply i just went to the adobe website and tried and i got this message We're Sorry
This content requires Adobe Flash Player, which is not supported by your device. This content can be viewed on a desktop computer or on mobile devices that support Flash Player.
Does this mean it's a hardware issue?

That helped. You need to try the other ways to install.

Hi it seems that the browser was the issue. Chrome doesn't support flash but firefox does. Just downloaded and used firefox with success. Thanks again have a great day

Thanks for not beating me up about the lack of exact steps. But as I have access to a pile of tablets I'll try anyway.
