Samsung T220 monitor - Display refresh rate

by coolangel13 / December 1, 2008 4:11 AM PST

Hi:
I just purchased this monitor and love it except for one thing. As soon as I turned it on, I knew it had a low refresh rate. When I look it refreshes at 60 Hertz and seemingly will not go higher. Is there any possible way for me to change it? It makes me queasy and I feel sick to my stomach when sitting for long in front of it. I live on computers at work and usually for 3 or 4 hours at night as well. I was able to set my old Samsung higher and made the mistake of assuming this one could be as well. I would appreciate any help I can get. I really can't afford to return it.

"What Is The Recommended Refresh Rate For Samsung Monitors?
Samsung LCD Monitors

The optimal refresh rate (also called the Vertical Frequency) for all Samsung LCD monitors is 60 Hz, regardless of resolution.

If you need to set your monitor to other settings, there is a table of preset timing modes in your user's manual that lists all compatible display modes, horizontal frequency values, and refresh rates. If you don't have your user's manual handy, click HERE to view the manual on line."

Hi:
I've now reset my resolution to the highest possible that will still allow me to use a refresh rate of 75 htz and even though not optimum looks decent. The relief to my stomach and head both was immediate at the new rate. Thanks for your help. angel

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
