This is basicaly a PC monitor that has s-video and component inputs.
It's native rosutlion is 1920x1200 (16x10) vrs 1920x1080 (16x9). If hooked to a PC it will do what the PC video card says, as long as it dosn't excide it's max specs.
For video it will rescale it to 1920x1200, which is an extra 120 horzontial rows, I realy don't think that this will distort the picture that much.
You can download the owners manual from this site. john
I heard that this monitor stretches 16:9 "external" sources to fit its 16:10 native aspect ratio. What exactly does that mean? I'm concerned because I want to buy this monitor to serve as a cheap 1080p capable HDTV.
But if it stretches 16:9 material to 16:10, that would be bad.
For example, how would it handle a 1080p hdtv signal coming into it through its DVI or component inputs?
