You didn't tell me if you pressed the MENU button, then Setup, Light Effort then Off.
Sorry but mine is the US model and no SCART. May not be the same menu.

My SyncMaster 2333HD is only used as a television in my bedroom and wakes me up at night when the blue light behind the Samsung badge lights up on it's own.
Can anybody help me in advising why the light suddenly comes on by itself and how I can stop it. I should add it has the latest software, or at least it does not need to update. I also have a VHS DVD and Freesat box plugged into it via a SCART switch.
Please help it is driving me crazy.....
