Question

Samsung syncmaster 2033 sw plus display

Jul 19, 2017 12:35PM PDT

Hey buddies,
I really need help to repair my Samsung syncmaster 2033 sw plus monitor. On connecting it as external monitor with Dell vostro 1540 Laptop then during startup picture display but do not stay for long and goes off after 3,4 sec and then it comes back and it happens again n again . I did all the technical repairing in my power supply circuit . Looked for the bad capacitor in the circuit and replaced it with a new one but still same problem persists . Picture doesn't hold for long time and meanwhile there is irregularities in color distribution . Too much red . I tried to lower the birghtness hoping that it would sort out the issue but nothing happened . Any help is deeply appreciated .!!

No, Actually whenever I tried to connect this monitor with my Dell CPU loaded with windows XP operating system then monitor detect the analog signal via VGA cable, the monitor won't display. It blinks again n again but in case of laptop picture comes but for short time in duplicate mode but in extended mode display atleast hold a little bit but then it shut off when I tried to play video on that extended screen

Swap the cable first and then swap the monitor.

It would seem that one of the two is bad.

To figure out if the display is the issue.

But unless you know how to repair, how to find service manuals I am going to upset folk here as replacements at less than repair. Service manuals are usually 12 to 20 dollars, the Oscilliscope, DVM and tools are usually in the thousands so folk replace these.

https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-22cwa-21-5-inch-Backlit/dp/B015WCV70W is just under 99 bucks and you'll spend 150 at the service counter here minimum.
