Does it have to be a Samsung device? Or would any other maker be OK as long as it meets your requirements?

- What are your exact requirements?
- What sound outputs does your smart TV have (like headphone, hdmi, optical, ...)? Can your provide the full model number?

,i made a mistake.tv is ue40h5500,iwant to add bluetooth speakers but tv does not support multiroom,so i thought a hub of some sort to connect tv to speakers was required.

I wonder here.

That hub is usually what we call a "receiver." Once in a while someone wants what a receiver does but hopes something else will do the job.

Is this you? Hunting for something other than the usual receiver?

let me start of saying all this is new to me,iwanted to have a bluetooth speaker to boost sound but tv is not have bluetooth enabled.i can fit a sound bar via an optical outlet but would prefer the speaker,i could have wired speakers via an outlet, but tv does not support multiroom.that is why i thought i needed some sort of hub to enable bluetooth speakers, sorry to be long winded .

Have you found such a thing?

I can explain why bluetooth may be the wrong solution. Not only does it have range and interference issues but it has a pronounced lag that means you can't enable the TV speakers and bluetooth at the same time. This can really rankle consumers because they expected this to work but the design means you get stadium echo effects. Not good.

So the solution is usually a receiver or sound bar that has what you want. Never found a "hub."
