Question

Samsung Soundbar HWH-750 sudden startup sound

Jan 14, 2015 2:37AM PST

Hi,
I have a Samsung Soundbar HWH-750 connected to my Samsung TV via Anynet and a wireless Subwoofer.

No more devices are attached to the Soundbar except the TV. I have used it with Bluetooth from my Macbook Air but I have now "forgot" the device from the computer.

Whats my problem then? Well, during the night, the Soundbar starts it self and plays the string startup sound. I can see that the amplifiers are red (turned on) but it doesn't show any sound source. I usually goto sleep again (it wakes me up). But I still found it very odd...

1. Can I stop the sound with a setting? Havn't found that...

2. Can I do something else in order to get this to stop?

3. Anyone else heard about this? Have googled the net but can't find any with the same problem

Thank you in advance for the anwnser!

Actually this issue was in a prior discussion.

Some won't accept the fix I use and will want some other fix. Only Samsung can tell us if there's some documented or other way. Here's how I fix things that I want to stay off but turn off when power comes up.

There are many like this so this is an example of what I own and use.

Thank you Bob!

I didn't find any other thread about this (I searched Cnet as well before). Do you have a link to that thread?

I suppose that your solution is the same as pulling the power chord from the Samsung when I go to sleep? That is of course an option but it would be so interesting to know why this happens? I thought at first that it was my Laptop who went to sleep and somehow woke it self up by night time. But now all BT devices are disconnected and "forgotten" from the devices.

One solution is that the Soundbar is haunted but that sounds stupid Happy

Hoping for some more people to know more about this?

kindly
Jojje

I can't answer that. Why?

Because the code in the bar is closed source, no one but Samsung can check to see if random bluetooth signals can cause a power up. And frankly, Samsung's code at times has been a source of product issues. (like this one.)

The manual does not mention how to forget a former bluetooth pairing or the feature you noted (yes, I may have missed it.) But the FIRMWARE date looks to be from late October 2014 so if you apply that the manual CLAIMS it will do a full reset.
