Question

Samsung soundbar cuts out randomly

Mar 19, 2016 1:48PM PDT

I recently purchased a Samsung soundbar model HW-J650. It is hooked to my Samsung TV model UN55C7000WFXZA using HDMI 2 ARC. I have an ATT Uverse box, Wii U and Sony bluray plugged in to other HDMI ports. The sound will go out randomly. Sometimes after 5 min, sometimes a few days. It sometimes returns for a little while but usually goes back out. Most of the time, I just listen to sound through my TV. It's basically become a wall ornament. I have sent it in for service. The first time they switched out two PCBs, but that did nothing. This last time they told me there was nothing wrong with it. I checked my TV setting, and it's on PCM. Any ideas as to what could be causing it? Thanks for any insight you can share.

Try other than ARC.

There are so many ARC complaints I don't duplicate them here.

Make sure that your anynet + option is on, on both the soundbar and television. Also, make sure the digital audio output is set to PCM.
