Samsung sound bar delay with TV

Mar 8, 2015 10:50PM PDT

I bought a new Samsung TV last fall and bought a Samsung sound bar a few weeks ago to help enhance the TV watching experience. I have the sound bar connected directly to the TV through HDMI arc and it sounds great when watching cable. My problem is when I am watching a blue-ray that there is a sound delay and it is really annoying when watching a movie.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I should set the sound bar up and the settings for it? I have tried going into the sound settings (on the TV and the blue-ray player) and adjusting the delay there but still no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

TV Model: UN55HU8550FXZA
Sound Bar Model: HW-H450/ZA
Blue-ray Player: BD-F5700/ZA

Do you have the Blu-ray player plugged directly into the Television or does it go through the soundbar as well?

I have it directly connected to the TV through the HDMI in 2 (DVI) and the cable box is connected to the HDMI in 1 (HTB) port.

Have you tried using a 2.0 version HDMI Cable?

No I haven't tried using HDMI 2.0 cords but I've read that with the change that just happened, new cords may not be nessasary.

With different input and output connections on the TV, blue ray, sound bar, etc. do you have any suggestions on to how my HDMI cords should be hooked up?
