Question

Samsung smart tv wireless problems

Aug 9, 2011 2:55PM PDT

I purchased this new tv specifically for the wifi and now I can't get it to work. It came with the wireless adaptor. I purchased a new netgear router. I tried every channel available and still problems. Please help!

Welcome to the club! There's a growing number of people with this issue. The only solution I found was to purchase a Wireless Game Adapeter to receive the wireless signal. Then, run an ethernet cable and run your TV in Wired mode. This bypasses the TV's wireless system.

We have a sticky about most of the known issues in the CNET Networking Forum but your post is typical and raises the question if the makers should have avoided use of the Internet Protocol since it means users would have to know how to setup things like this.
