Samsung Smart (?) TV will bring down Internet

Feb 28, 2015 3:02AM PST

Hello all,
First of all, I am sorry if anybody has posted this question before, but I browsed around and didn't see any similar question. Well, I have a Samsung tv ( wont use smart ever again lol) model un40eh5300fxza and since a couple months ago I am facing this weird issue with it.Whenever I turn the TV on, no matter if playing video-game, watching Netflix or just regular T.V, all my other devices lose access to the Internet. I have tried everything possible from my side, firmware upgrade, dedicated DNS, kicking, punching, cursing and nothing seems to work.
So I would like to know if anybody has ever faced something similar and how to solve it ?

Not much detail.

I can't tell if you called that in. It's entirely possible that a massed produced model could have a weird WiFi failure that wipes out connections.

Since I can't guess connections I would try wired to the router as a test.

I'm sorry to hear this! It sounds like it's a possible Bandwidth issue. I would check with the Internet service provider about how many devices your allowed to have connected. Some providers limit the amount of devices, and it can cause problems such as this.
