In fact I collected a lot of tips about getting these connected in the network forum. The thing is, some folk want to argue and we're done before we start. These are nothing like our laptops and such. The distance to the router has to be short, there are a lot of items to check and sometimes it's broke and other times it's one of the usual.
Here's the starting list of things I've found over the years. http://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/samsung-owners-start-here-378511/
I have a Samsung model UN43J5200AFXZA and I can not connect to the internet. Time Warner says it's Samsung and vice versa. I know it's Samsung as I'm able to connect to the internet on all of my other devices. While I was on the phone with Samsung and I manually changed the DNS server to 8888 and 8844 and neither worked. Then the girl at samsung told me to disconnect my wireless router which I had already done with Time Warner 4 times. I told her I didn't see the point of it as she is not with my internet company and then she tried to argue with me. I told her the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. This TV is less than 2 months old and has never been able to connect. I told the tech that I was going to get Time Warner on the call and they could battle it out and of course she said she couldn't talk to them because she just couldn't... Argh!!! Anyone have the answer to this one? At this point I think the best idea is to just return the damn TV and stay away from Samsung. Smart TV? I think not.
