Question

Samsung smart TV UE37C6500 and Netflix Issue

Apr 17, 2015 3:57AM PDT

Hi All, I am so so so hoping that someone can help!.

The problem i have is that i cannot get Netflix working on my Samsung smart TV UE37C6500
I have tried and had a number of problems,
1st problem is that the netflix app doesnt exist under my apps, i looked into this and was told to upgrade my tb to the latest software which i did it is not running on T-VALDEUC-3018.1 from T-VALDEUC-3015.0, i found this version of software on a plosh samsung site and nothing could be found on the english one. this did not work.
following this i looked at some forum post which told me to change the region to america by accessing the internet tv then pressing "forward" 389 "rewind" and hey presto i managed to download the netflix app, and soon realised that i had to leave this on america otherwise the app would be removed if i changed back to uk.

So i though lets just try the app, so when i try opening netflix i just get a black screen and nothing happens.......so this doesnt work either.
I have also tried as suggested changing my DNS address to a american one, changed it also to a DNS one for something call un-otelly and this didnt work either..I WOULD raise a support call with Samsung direct rather than asking here, but my model number doesnt exist in support.... why i have no idea...???
I am truly truly stuck if there anyone out there that can point me in right direction i would be truly in you debt this is driving me crazy.

netflix

1. Login to Netflix from your computer.
2. Sign out from all devices.
3. Reset your TV to a Non-Netflix region, such as Columbia , Unottely - change region Netflix Columbia
4. Open Smarthub so that all the old apps are deleted , Install Netflix
5. Make sure "Auto update apps" is DISABLED.
6. Change Smarthub country to US . Unottely - change region - Netflix US
7. Open Smarthub again, allow Netflix to install.
8. Open the App and it should work.

samsung streaming problems netflix and amazon
Apr 25, 2015 4:26AM PDT

I had been going nuts with screen freezes, not being able to connect at all or maybe working fine for a couple of hours. Talking to Samsung, Comcast, Netflix, were a waste of time. Today I got the Fire Stick I ordered. Problem solved.

samsung netflix mess
Apr 25, 2015 11:09PM PDT

I ordered a Fire stick from Amazon for about $36. Figured I would probably have trouble figuring how to set it up or, if I did so it probably wouldn't work. Got it yesterday, even I found it easy to set up, and spent all last evening watching Netflix and Amazon uninterrupted by freezes or signal losses. It actually worked as advertised, making me wonder why Samsung couldn't solve the problem. I might add, calling Samsung for help is tough enough but even more difficult when many of the reps have a.c. nets I have trouble with.
