Question

samsung smart tv remote malfunctioning

Aug 2, 2015 5:22AM PDT

I have a UN55H6300 smart tv and I have cox cable but I never use my remote. I only use my Samsung universal remote. My problem is that our cox cable "tv guide" has recently hijacked the Samsung "tv guide". Meaning, that when I press "guide" on my Samsung remote, it brings up the cox cable style "tv guide" instead of the Samsung style "tv guide" that I've been so fond of. I have called Samsung and cox cable numerous times and the problem is still not solved. They keep telling me its the others problem!!! This is irritating!!!! I have reset the tv as well as reset the cable box a few times per both sides' direction. Has anyone experienced this problem??? I am really missing the Samsung guide that was working so nicely in the beginning. I hate using two remotes!!!

I apologize for the inconvenience. When the signature services such as OnTV was removed this also included the removal of the Samsung guide for cable boxes. When you press the guide button on your Samsung remote, and you have the universal remote set up it should bring up the guide for Cox Cable.

So is there nothing I can do to get the original Samsung TV guide back?

It appears to be no. Here's one reason.
