Question

Samsung smart TV recording help

Jan 13, 2015 12:44AM PST

Hello everyone

I have recently purchased a Samsung LED Series 5 5500Class TV. I also got a Western Digital My Passport Ultra 2TB hard drive to record onto.

However I have found that when I am recording a programme that is currently airing I can only watch a very limited (fewer than 5 in some cases) number of other channels. I can also not view the whole TV guide.

Am I doing something wrong or are there settings that I can change to give me full use of all channels when recording? Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Full Model Number?

What is the full model number of your TV. 1TB, seems to be the support limit. This may not be your issue, however. Did you check the TV's built in manual? The built in manual does a pretty good job of laying these things out.

Sounds right.

Time to call Samsung to discuss these limits. I see nothing wrong here yet. That is, folk want more but to do that we would need a full fledged DVR.
