Resolved Question

Samsung Smart TV - Pandora app fails to connect

Aug 16, 2014 9:21PM PDT

There's a number of similar posts, however I couldn't find solution for my problem.

I have UE46ES5550W Smart TV and pandora app installed. It was working previously just fine but after some day it just started failing with error message: "The network connection has failed".

What I did:
1. Verified that my TV can successfully connect to internet. It does.
2. Verified that other SmartHub apps can connect to the internet. They do (browser, vimeo, skype, etc)
3. Verified there's no newer firmware update for my TV. No new firmware, the TV is up-to-date.
4. Reset TV settings to factory defaults. Didn't help.
5. Reset SmartHub to defaults, reinstalled Pandora App. Didn't help.

Am I missing something? Are there any other troubleshooting steps?

Need help figuring out how to make this app work.

Thanks.

When this happens calls are made

To Samsung and then to Pandora. You've done the basics so it's up to the makers next.

follow up on the problem

Thanks, Bob.

I did contact Samsung first and they directed me to Pandora support. I contacted them by e-mail but didn't hear back from them yet.

Anyway, it's off the topic now.

Did you try the 8.8.8.8 in the DNS?

It's a common thing to try, usually done when, well, let's just try it.
