Question

samsung smart tv near ac vent

Apr 28, 2015 8:07AM PDT

So recently we bought a samsung smart tv and where it sits now it is directly in front of an ac vent. We haven't opened the AC vent yet this year but we really need to, but I'm concerned that it could mess up the tv. The air would hit about half of the tv (we have a 55 inch). I'm concerned that the cold air or even dust could mess it up. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience with this? Thanks in advance!

Good morning!

We would recommend not placing the product in a location that is exposed to direct sunlight, heat, fire or water as exposure could result in the product malfunctioning or overheating and catching fire.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, but it wouldn't be exposed to any heat, just cold air. Would this mess it up?

Correct, any kind of air that is being pushed upon the unit, cold or hot, in the long run could cause damage to it. We would recommend putting the unit in a different location.
