Yes you can't call it in for some number of days but car makers don't fix cars out of warranty for free either. Tends to cheese folk off that wanted things to last longer.
But try the usual warranty extension and claim after the waiting period. If there is some other issue like a cracked screen DO NOT BOTHER. That would just be more upsetting to folk.
Another 32 inch issue is there would be no service call to the home. This size is sent in to the depot. Shipping may cost as much as another set at walmart.
We purchased this tv and 2 months after the 1 year warranty expired the picture went black and we only had sound. We talked to Samsung's tech support, customer relations, rescue repair, and the executive customer relations people to no avail. They wouldn't even consider letting us trade it in and be given a discount or credit to purchase another model. There was a callus disregard for our situation. This was the biggest TV we ever had and read the high reviews of Samsung never realizing we would be so disappointed .
