Samsung Smart TV Model Code UE40ES

Aug 8, 2018 11:32PM PDT

I am unable to get the internet to work on my Smart TV through the Smart Hub. The TV connects to the internet through my wireless router but the following error appears when I try to launch the web browser or any application eg; BBC iplayer- "unable to connect to Server try again later ERROR_RXE_001" All other devices, laptops, I-phones, I-pads work fine.

you need to make sure your tv is up-to-date, you have two ways to do it.

1) you can do it from the tv it self by doing this.
-press source and select tv to make sure all the functions are available on the tv
-press menu, support, software update and them click on BY ONLINE or ALTERNATIVE update
them your tv will be installing the last software version 2008.0

2) you can download the file form your computer
-visit the Samsung page https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE40ES5500KXXU/
-download the software Upgrade File(USB type) ver 2008.0 (MULTI LANGUAGE)
-unzip the file
-move the file to a USB stick
-plug the USB into the USB port of your tv
- go to menu, support, software update, BY USB

After that changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8

menu, network, network status, ip settings

once on ip settings select the DNS SERVER and change it to enter manually
