Samsung Smart TV - key click sound

by Mekceg / September 15, 2012 12:34 AM PDT

Dear all,

I'm trying to figure out how to turn OFF the sound of each "click" I do on my Samsung UE40ES6727 (each time I do Sound+, Sound- or arrows with my remote etc). On low volume it's not that irritating, but when there's low sound-level movie and I need to set volume to, e.g., +60, the "key clicks" become unbearable and very unpleasant to hear.

How to turn them OFF?

Hi Mekceg,

Try disabling this: Menu > System > General > Sound Feedback.

Let me know if you need any more help!

In reply to: Thanks

It was most irritating. I actual bought a sound bar... glad I tried again to see how to get rid of it. At one point I called Samsung. They could not figure it out... It was terrible customer service.

I am now happy with the TV... no sound bar unless I want it. I love the TV...WHEW!!!

@HD Tech. This was really helpful! It was annoying listening to that click every time I turned the volume up.

I'm not sure why this option isn't under "Sound" but I'm glad I found this and was able to get it resolved.

This answer was VERY helpful!

@ Samsung_HD_Tech

I had a Samsung TV delivered today and spent more time trying to get rid of those annoying clicks than I spent setting it up.

Thank you so much for saving my sanity!

I have a UN55KU6300F UHD TV with the Cisco ISB7500 (AT&T Uverse) DVR, connected directly thru the HDMI ports, and and turned the Sound Feedback off as you suggest.

However, when I'm playing the sound through my Yamaha HTR3063 Receiver (connected thru the Optical ports), the overwhelming remote clicks are still there and a real PITA. Any other ideas? Help! I love the Samsung TV!

Try disabling this: Menu > System > General > Sound Feedback.

This worked for me which is handy as I was about to chuck the TV out the window...

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
