Samsung Smart TV has vertical colored lines / distortion

by John123Drury / October 17, 2015 8:00 PM PDT

Hi everyone - we have a 60" Samsung Smart TV. it's 5 years old, but is barely used (maybe 10 times a year if we're lucky). This evening I went to go turn it on and this is the screen that appeared. There are colored vertical lines throughout the TV. I tried unplugging everything, took down the tv, brought it to another room, powered it up, and still the same result. It's completely baffled me given the minimal use and the fact we always took good care of it (even hooked up to surge protector).

Here's a link to 2 pictures I took of the TV. Does anyone have any suggestions on what would cause this or what I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help!

Sadly it can be panel, connections and/or boards.

The pictures don't tell you exactly where the trouble is. I'd get estimates.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
