Question

Samsung Smart TV H7005 Netflix audio issue

Jan 2, 2015 10:59PM PST

I've a Samsung 55H7005 Smart TV connected to a Denon AVR-X1100W receiver through HDMI. Cable TV is working fine, and the audio from the DVB-C tuner are played on the receiver as expected.

But when I use the Smart TV functionalities like Netflix, I'm facing some issues with the audio. The audio is lacking, and sound volume is changing frequently. Like the receiver cannot decode the audio. See this video:

The default audio track on the Netflix app is Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. I've tried to change the track to stereo, but I'm still facing this issue.

How can I fix this?

Thank for your answer, but I'm not sure what you are trying to point out. When playing a movie on Netflix nothing happens when pressing the Tools button on the remote. Am I missing something?

My issue is not just related to the Netflix app. Other Smart TV apps is having the same issue, like YouTube, Plex etc.

Sadly that means you should call it in.

Netflix wrote that app and has been known to gaffe it from time to time. Since pausing and hitting tools doesn't help, this one is where you make the call. That is, if Netflix and Samsung can't fix it, my advice is to return it quickly.
