Question

Samsung Smart TV Drops WiFi

by arossf9 / April 19, 2014 3:03 AM PDT

Hi,

I have a Samsung Smart TV (UN46F300AF).

When I go to Netflix, the TV connects to the WiFi perfectly. Once watching, the TV will loose its WiFi connection. Sometimes it happens after ten minutes, sometimes after a minute. The only way to correct the issue is to turn the TV off and on again. All other WiFi devices in the house work perfectly. The router is not in the same room as the TV and can't be.

Can anyone offer assistance? Thank you.

Try reducing the distance from TV to router.

It's not like a laptop with great big antennas (those cost!) so all the notes say to start at under 20 feet.

... how many green bars in the icon?

My TV (F7100) is ~10 meters (33 feet) away (other room) from the router and reception level is still 4 (of 5) bars (5ghz band) - if too low get a booster.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
