Samsung Smart Tv 2012 model showing no signal or Weak signal

by Nehampaul / July 24, 2013 9:08 PM PDT

My Samsung TV had been working perfectly fine until last to last night and yesterday morning when i switched it on, its displaying a message "no signal or weak signal". Its a smart TV with integrated cable card receiver. I've have also got my TV checked by the cable company and they say that there is no problem with their Card r CI-model. After that i tried the automatic channel search and the TV started displaying a message that there are no channels to found. I have searched the internet for answers but no one really knows what to do, even though a lot of people are facing the same problem.

Showing no signal or Weak signal

I'm guessing you're using an HDMI cable. If that's the case, I suggest you try using a new high speed HDMI cable version 1.4. Try not to settle with the cheap ones as this cable is complex. Some people would say that it's just a simple cable but there's more to that.

Samsung 3D Smart showing no signal or weak signal

Thank you Ron; but the problem doesn't lie on HDMI cable, as my TV works on the integrated cable card reader. The TV is connected with a normal TV Aerial Wire and this wire is functioning perfectly fine as the cable man had tested the wire this morning. The TV also functions fine when it is connected by a separate HD cable receiver, but it doesn't work when its running on the CI-model (integrated receiver). If you have any other suggestions, you are most welcomed.

Poor aerial connection

I regularly get this on screen message with a 22" Samsung TV.
The coaxial connection (on the TV) to the TV aerial is very poor and needs tweaking until signal reappears.
I fear that there may be a poor internal connection to the aerial input socket that fails intermittently. I have tried numerous coax leads including those with gold plated connectors but the "no signal or weak signal" message often occurs if the lead is nudged or moved a little.

Please post if you find a fix.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
