Samsung Smart Switch with Outlook

Jan 21, 2019 9:13AM PST

Have used this combination successfully for years now. However all of a sudden when carrying out a routine SYNC to my Galaxy A5 phone and TabS2 the sync is not successful in as much as the Outlook Contacts do not SYnc. Further to a 2 hour conversation with an engineer in the Smart Switch dept I was informed that this is a global issue caused by a recent Windows 10 update. Would appreciate any comments/and or assistance because all Samsung say is that they are aware of the issue and are awaiting co-operation from Microsoft so dear customer "just keep trying a Smart Switch Sync"!! Damn frustrating...…...

Sounds like it's time to return it.

When it's mission critical you don't allow updates you can't roll back. In the system you noted you have a cause but have to wait for a fix. Forget about the cause, what would you do if you bought this today? Return it as defective? I would.

So, did you return it?

It can be buggy sometimes, that's true. Most reviews say that the usability of Smart Switch apk is far from perfect, though I think that's the Microsoft software fault. I have Win 10 also but never had problems with sync, at least for now.
