Question

Samsung Smart Remote BN59-01220E Malfunction

Feb 4, 2016 6:11AM PST

We recently ( 5 weeks ago) purchased the Samsung UHD 65 inch TV and yesterday the smart remote pointer and 4 directional buttons no longer function. We love the TV and I am currently using my smart phone to control the TV. Any idea where I can get a replacement? I assume the remote comes with a 60 day warranty.
Thanks

My original was hit by plant sap. A replacement has a "PAIRING press three seconds" which doesn't seem to work. The new one will turn the TV on and off (though the original now does not) but otherwise does not work. The original will point but nothing else, the new neither point nor much else. How do you use your smartphone to control the Samsung TV? Does anyone know how to pair the BN59 with the Samsung?

Press "return-exit" and "extra" on the front. The instructions are actually on the inside, but do not refer to the inside, but the outside.
