Samsung Smart HUB won't update

Jan 25, 2015 1:45AM PST

I have a Samsung UN60D6400UFXZA 60" LED. About a month ago, every time I tried to access smart hub, it says it needed to be update. When it tries to update, it sticks on the "installing" bar. I contacted Samsung several times. They have done everything from resetting the TV to having me manually update the firmware. Still no luck. Now they say I have to pay for service because the TV is out of warranty. However, this is a problem with their TV's and Blue Ray's, which they deny. Used to be a fan of Samsung, but won't be buying another Samsung TV in the future. If anyone has other suggestions, I'm open!

Think about it.

Why does it need the update? Can't we use it without Smart Hub? If I need any Samsung App I just use a Roku anyway.

I don't need the update, but I can't stop it from trying. The kids play games on Smart Hub and I access Netflix and Pandora from it.

Roku, Amazon Fire TV/Stick. Samsung's gaffes are partly why. That and their PIA.
