Resolved Question

Samsung screen on HP Laptop?

Jan 12, 2012 5:20AM PST

Hi. I'm replacing a screen on an HP laptop but when I took it apart the screen is a Samsung one, I just wondered - is that normal?

Thanks in advance!

If you open an iPad2 you'll see the screen is made by Samsung. If I boot my PC it tells me my DVD drive is made by Samsung (or was it the hard disk, I'm not sure).

HP doesn't make screens itself. So nothing is wrong if they buy it from Samsung.

No PC manufacturer makes all its own parts.
