You always have to get estimates. The problem today is that they can charge for the trip to give the estimate. This sounds like a non-user serviceable area. That is you can try removing power for a few minutes and re-trying but that's unlikely (try anyway.)
The fact it does go away points to a board or part that has become heat sensitive but does not really nail it.
Just a few weeks ago the office snagged a 50 inch smart TV for under 350.
I have Samsung UN46C7000WF smart tv. Right half of screen has wavy red lines, kind of like it's trying to outline images. Very hard to see picture. Sometimes I can turn off tv for a while and it will go away. But not for long, it comes back constantly. Any solutions how to fix? If needs technician repair, is it worth the cost for inhome repair?
