Samsung SBH500 Bluetooth Headset Problem with Drivers

Jan 30, 2010 2:18AM PST

I have tried to connect my SBH500 bluetooth headset but it does not seem to work.
When I go into the playback devices menu there are two connections for my headset. One of them which let's me only listen to the audio but it does not allow me to use the mic. The other one says that it is ready but it does not work and when I connect to it, I can't hear anything. One says stereo audio and the other mono audio.
The mono audio does not work. When I go to properties for my bluetooth device, the mono audio driver says, "Cannot start (code 10)" and when I try to repair it, it won't work. I cannot find any drivers for it. I have a bluetooth adapter that says that it supports A2DP (advanced audio distribution profile) and it says that it can connect to headsets but I cannot get it to work.
I have tried reinstalling the drivers, but that doesn't work. I am running windows 7, if that's a problem.
If you have a solution, please help me, I am just trying to get both the audio and the mic to work so that I can use it with my computer, such as games. If it is at all possible.

This CODE 10.

You should not use a bluetooth dongle with a CODE 10. Return that for units that work. Here's one of dozens I use that JUST WORK! -> http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=PD-BD10&cpc=SCH

Let me be clear. I will no longer discuss a CODE 10 BLUETOOTH DONGLE. These are too cheap to replace with units that just work.

Ok, I too have found bluetooth audio to be a disappointment in 7. But that's another story.
