samsung sales 42inch lemons

Feb 25, 2009 3:41PM PST

I purchased a Samsung HPT4254 on our about Sept. 19th 2007. About one month ago I started experiencing problems with the TV. It would randomly turn off and cycle repeatedly for a few minutes before returning to normal function. I thought this might be an input problem, but removing the inputs did not help. As time progressed the problem became more frequent until tonight. Now the tv will not turn on. It is getting power but it cycles continuously until I unplug it. Apparently this is an issue with these TVs because several people have reported the same issue on the internet. It seems that Samsung is unwilling to admit that this issue is due to a faulty part in the TV, and has not offered any kind of recall to date. Beware of these symptoms because you too will soon be out of a tv.
