Question

Samsung SA350 (2011 Model) no picture displayed

by Cameron Reynolds / June 18, 2015 5:33 PM PDT

Issue: Monitor will not display computer display
Model: Samsung SA350 (24 inch)
Model #: S24A350H
OS: Windows 8.0 and OSX Mavericks

I have attempted to use the monitor with 4 computers and my Xbox. When it is connected it goes to a screen that says Analog (VGA) or HDMI and then goes black. The computers also identify the monitor as a device named "SA 300/350/360" and under properties says the device is working properly.

I have tried updating the firmware a number of times. The firmware updater says the monitor does not need to be updated. I cannot find anything physically wrong with the hardware, so I assumed it was a software issue. That being said I am unable to navigate the monitor's built-in menus.

Not sure where to go from here and Samsung support has been minimal help. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thanks in advance.

Here Samsung does service things.

Here in the USA they do have service centers. If you are an electronics tech I think I see the service manual at samsungparts.com but the repair cost here exceeds replacement.

http://tinyurl.com/odlhmot seems to list models less than what I see repairs cost.

Hit the reset to default button if exist

and if that doesn't, consider it's failed on 4 different devices and seek repair or warranty.
