Samsung S9 and the Smooth Calendar App

I just upgraded to a Samsung S9 (from a S6) and I cannot get the "Smooth Calendar" app to work. I have used this app for years and love it. Any suggestions?

Make certain the application is compatible with the phone and the OS version. If it is not, pick a new calendar application.
