Samsung S730 digital camera

Nov 23, 2008 11:37AM PST

I installed the CD on my WinXP pc, and opted to install the manual. Now I notice that it has about 15 or more different languages along with English (which is the only language I want to install and it will not allow me to chose). I would like to "uninstall" the program from my E: drive and reinstall afresh from the CD, without installing the manual or languages. How do I go about uninstalling the program? Thanks.

Not in Windows?

Is there not an option in the Add/Remove Programs application in Control Panel? It may be called "Samsung Master", or a related program.

Keep me posted.

I checked Add/Remove Programs and the only thing listed there is "Samsung USB Driver". I also did a Search and no Samsung showed up. Next I searched the Registry and found these entries: Samsung USB driver/Log File C:Program Files\InstallShield Install Info and Uninstall String. So how do I uninstall the program and reinstall again from the CD? Many thanks for ur reply.

Uninstaled...?

It may have left a scrap in the registry. Are you unable to reinstall the software at this point? The new install should copy over the registry entires.

I uninstalled the Samsung USB Driver from Add/Remove Programs and then tried to reinstall the program again from the CD. I seem to be having some problems with the installation as at one point it seemed to complete and suggested "restart pc" which I did - but then it does not show up in Add/Remove Programs or in a Search (for "samsung"). Any step by step instructions how to install the program? Also, is it necessary to install the Digimax Master, since I already have a photo viewer installed?

No icon?

Just to clarify: There's no icon in the start menu or on the desktop after choosing that during the install?

You don't have to install a viewer if you already have one you like working with. Samsung "Master", however, should be the transfer program that you can use to import the photos from your camera to your computer.
